Forest School

Forest School is a Danish concept of outdoor education which is growing across the UK.
Forest school puts a large emphasis on learning about the natural environment and how to conserve it for future generations. This is achieved through considered session planning which explores and develops ideas in a fun and creative way. Forest school promotes individuality and allows for different learning styles. Increasing self-esteem and emotional development are an important part of the Forest School ethos.
This is an opportunity for groups of all ages and abilities to ‘Go down to the woods’ and have a good time learning new skills. Sessions can be tailored to meet the needs of each group, including:
  • Storytelling and Games
  • Bushcraft
  • Natural Arts and Crafts
  • Traditional Rural Skills
  • Permaculture
We aim to provide a safe and caring environment for learning and personal development.
To treat each person with equal care and concern allowing for individual needs.
To provide a variety of learning opportunities which enable each person to realise his/her full potential.
To encourage the development of confidence and self esteem through the appropriate matching of task/activity to a persons preferred learning style.
